With the cooperation with China Textile Institute (Taiwan), TSIA is
undertaking a 3-year project aiming to develop an automatic production
system for sweater making. In the first year of the project, the emphases
will be put on upgrading quality of fancy yarn and improving knitting
efficiency. The second year, while it will contiune on the first-year
program, TSIA will focus on the development of automatic machineries for
assembling and dyeing and finishing sweaters. The last year, TSIA will
integrate the R&D accomplishments of the previous two years into a
vertically-integrated automatic production system for sweater making.

While the production niche in Taiwan has been deteriorating for over
than one decade, TSIA is and will be firm and loyal to its original
mission of promoting and expanding the interests of Taiwan sweater makers.
